Marilyn & Paul Tadych Memorial Scholarship
There will be two scholarships awarded each year. The intent is to award $1,500 scholarships to two students per semester as funds allow. No one individual to receive more than $9,000 in total.
Recipient must be the parent or guardian of a student enrolled in the Port Washington-Saukville School District. Applicants must have completed at least one semester in a university, college, or technical school. Intended enrollment may be full or part time.
Payments shall be made via the Port Washington Saukville Community Foundation and paid directly to the financial aid department of the studentís school. After the first $1,500 award the recipient will have to maintain a 2.5 grade point average to receive the next semester stipend. The recipient will submit the transcript for the semester to the Port Washington-Saukville Community Foundation for verification.
Applications shall be reviewed by a committee set up by the Port Washington-Saukville Community Educational Foundation.
To be considered for selection, persons must fill out the accompanying application form, submit a transcript from the institution where previous credits have been earned, and attach an essay. Recommended content of the essay is described at the bottom of the application form.
It is anticipated that future earnings from this trust will provide two individual $1,500 scholarships each semester. When all scholarships are awarded the total amount will be $9,000 per semester. Should future earnings not be sufficient to provide the $9,000 amount, a lesser amount may be awarded commensurate with respective earnings. Should future earnings be greater than the necessary amount to provide the $9,000 amount, a greater amount may be awarded commensurate with the additional earnings.
